The defence and the kicking game were awful in the first game, the offence erratic in the second and yet, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are undefeated through the first two weeks of the football season.
Not a bad start, all things considered.
Throwing out the scores of the first two contests, one thing was apparent -- the Bombers look like a better team than both the Ricky Ray-led Edmonton Eskimos and Anthony Calvillo's Montreal Alouettes.
It's obviously too early to start planning a Grey Cup parade, but when a team doesn't show up with it's A-game but still finds a way to earn points in the standings, it is encouraging.
The Bombers already had the best running back in the league in Charles Roberts, who hasn't been utilized to his full potential yet, and this looks like the best receiving corps in the league.
The addition of Terrence Edwards to the two-headed monster of Milt Stegall and Derick Armstrong has made the Bombers aerial attack lethal and quarterback Kevin Glenn has the opportunity to put up some great numbers.
