You have probably heard the word “optimization” thrown around a lot in reference to traffic building for your website. BUT, have you ever been coached on exactly HOW to go about optimizing your site and what doing so can do for you? Here are a few steps that you should follow beginning at DAY 1 of your website creation:
Tip 1: Choose or create a website template built with TABLES instead of FRAMES.
Believe it or not, these simple html tages make a big difference in how search engine spiders are able to crawl and index your website.
The tags allow spiders to easily breeze from block to block of text on any given page and read the ENTIRE page, whereas the tags are essentially “brick walls” that spiders can not pass through. This would mean that there is a good chance that only a small portion of your page is being read and indexed.
Tip 2: Keep in mind that search engines read from left to right too.
