Part of the Seattle Design Commission's "Chance of Showers" exhibition, this umbrella was created by Spokane, WA artist Tom Dukich. It's currently at auction on eBay with a starting bid of $50 (no bids at the time of this writing).
Although it's called "The Rain Pod," and a few other sites have said it has an iPod in the handle, that's not stated at the auction. Instead it says,
The umbrella is 50" in diameter with built-in music software and speakers.
Personally, I don't think it has an iPod because anyone with half a brain would have been sure to specifically advertise it. At least, however. the drawings added to the canopy with permanent marker add to the "Singin' in the Rain' type of atmosphere.
All proceeds go to 826 Seattle, a non-profit that helps students "develop their creative and expository writing skills."
